In looking over Chris' career I can't help but notice a shitload of clunkers on the resume.
Beethoven's 2nd
Corky Romano
Stealing Harvard
One Tough Cop
Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything, Julie Newmar
Yikes.
But something about his early work makes me think about how much I liked the guy when he was in his early twenties and so fucking cock sure and goofy.
Footloose - Everyone remember's him learning how to dance to the strains of Let's Hear it For the The Boy.
Rumble Fish, All the Right Moves - He played a good side kick kid.
At Close Range - Chris Walken playing Dad to the Penn boys was something to behold.
The Wild Life - Incredibly underrated teen comedy from 1984 with Eric Stoltz. I love this fucking movie!
Pale Rider - Clint Eastwood obviously saw some potentil in Chris to cast him in this cowboy classic.
Resevior Dogs - Nice Guy Eddie is probaby his signature role, and this movie is a cult classic is it not?
Anyway, Chris hasn't done much of value since 1996, the year Mulholland Falls was released, but it's still tough to see him go.
I guess I'm trying to say Rest in Peace dude.
