Painful

Tomorrow morning at 8 AM I have a root canal scheduled. Now normally I would be freaked out by the event since my experience with dentists is full of horror stories. But right now, with the direction I see the election going, I am looking forward to the pain. It can't be worse than having Bush at the helm for four more years. I am totally freaked out that this thing is so fucking close. The hope of our country rests in the hands of Ohio. Oh my God. Ohio? I guess the silver lining is that I am too old to be drafted to go to Vietnam. Oops, I mean Iraq.

I hope that when I wake up tomorrow, it was all a dream and that John Kerry is the winner. If not, I'm looking into jobs in Montreal once I get home from the dentist.

I'm numb. A combination of novacaine and disbelief. How did this happen?

I am not here to say I told you so, or even rub it in, but I was shocked that Kerry did not even remotly stand a chance. After all the pre-election hype one would think it would have been a closer race then the end result.
With the perception of a poor economy, huge job losses, and the situation in Iraq(I am not saying that this is the real truth)you would believe that Kerry should have won easily.
G.W. Bush not only won the popular vote this time around with 51%, but did so with a higher percentage than Clinton did in both his elections(49% in 1996 & 43% in 1992). That to me was stunning, after all the presidental approval ratings polls, cnn.com polls, etc.
Not only was this a bad year for the Dems in the presidential race, they also lost 3 seats in the Senate, and 2 in the House. I guess Hiliary will be running in 2008. -todd

Hilary running equates to 4 more years of Republican rule. I wish we lived in a time where a woman can run for President and win, but we don't. So far...I woke up and paid $329.00 for a root canal and gained an a-hole in office for 4 more years. Nice.
