First of all a "good riddance" is in order for Johnny Cochran the scummiest of scum bag lawyers. I'm happy to see a brain tumor was the cause, disappointed it came in 2005 rather than 1995. Or 1985 for that matter. Maybe OJ would be in prison like he belongs if JC died in '85? Nah, Marcia Clarke would have still fucked it up. I wonder if Chris Darden is still up in that shit?
In tragic death news, Paul Hester killed himself in Australia today. I'm sure at this point you are saying to yourself, "who the hell is Paul Hester?" Well, Paul was the drummer for the Greatest Rock Band to come out of Australia ever. No, not Midnight Oil. No, not INXS (although they do have a member that hung himself). Crowded House dammit! I'm a super fan of the House and all things Neil Finn, so I was actually quite sad to hear about Paul hanging himself in the park while walking his dogs. Don't Dream It's Over. RIP.
In movie news, check out this story about the forthcoming documentary on my main man and Texas crazy Daniel Johnston. It won best Doc over at Sundance and I'm sure it's gonna be off the chains. If you haven't heard of Daniel Johnston, Itunes some of his shit and soak up the brillance.
New Surreal Life cast looks like this: The Apprentice's Omarosa, Top Model's Janice Dickinson, steroid king Jose Canseco, Bronson Pinchot, and Salt-n-Pepa's Pepa. I actually feel bad for Balky. Now that we are 5 seasons deep, I think it's scary to think that my dream house of washed up celebs and reality TV whores might actually come true some day. My Surreal Life dream cast looks like this: Molly Ringwald, Coral from The Real World NY 2 and every challenge show but Inferno 2, Rip Taylor, Gene Wilder, Gilbert Grape's movie mom and Kip Winger.
